This is Me!

I’m a kid of age 20.

I love music and do anything from listening, watching, playing, recording, etc. I would like to be a rockstar, rockstar of my own world. My music taste range could be anything. At one moment, it’s hardcore and next could be electronica. But one thing for sure, blink-182 is and always will be my favorite band, for maybe the next coming 5 years.

Other things that I like to do are hanging out with friends, be it at the playground, coffee shop or far end of the country. Not forgetting, being with my family is also the best thing. So, yeah!

I have a passion to be in the media industry. I would like to be either a cameraman or a video-editor. Anyone would do but I think I rather go ahead with video-editor. This is hard to achieve but if I could be a Front-of-House engineer, it would be awesome. And other than that, I could be a kid riding around taking photograph. Each picture could explain my thought, feeling, emotion and just so random, you though it could be the previous three available choices.

Before I end, I thank you for visiting my blog. It’s entirely up to you to read and not at all. This blog is created more as an online diary for me, to remind me what I did today, what I did yesterday or what I did years ago. And after I said that, only then can I say that some parts are going to be boring and you will skip them. Oh, to further understand me, just head down to one of the links below.

And here’s how I’m going to end this profile section;
I’m a narcissist kid with a gay attitude.

So, 3 months ago, I was reading the book, “Rip It Up and Start Again: Postpunk 1978-1984” by Simon Reynold. I swear this book is having influenced me a lot on music especially on Chapter 6, Autonomy in the UK: Independent Labels and the DIY Movement. It's all about how bands are setting up their own label and studio and that is exactly what I would like to do!

Okay, it sure sounds big dream but I'm taking one step at a time in order to achieve that. Oh yeah, it's more of a hobby than anything else. What I would like to do is probably if I'm interested in some band, I'm going approach them and ask if they would like to do a free recording. Yes, for free. Then at times, I would like to even do video shoot for these bands, once again, free. As for labels, it’s more of for fun and just to get known. Not what is being mention in Wikipedia, “A record label is the company that manages such brands and trademarks, coordinates the production, manufacture, distribution, marketing and promotion, and enforcement of copyright protection of sound recordings and music videos.”

I know that everything is like massive and impossible, but I got to try hard to achieve them. Maybe if not for outside band, I am able to do for bands that I'm close with, starting with own band at least?

Before I end this post, just head down to the link below because I seriously respect that guy for producing cool videos. Oh, his name is Robby Starbuck.

And a cool video of his which you all should check out! And... BROADWAY FOR THE WIN!

So last Sunday, when I reached home, my mum asked this, "You coming back home also want to sing is it?"

Obviously, I was "singing" which I usually do on the way back from the car park till I reach my void deck. My term of "singing" here means to make some screamo sound, which I obviously fail. And imagine this, I don't live on high floor, but my mum can hear me "sing"! So that means, my neighbor also can hear me sing! SO PAISEH LAR SEH!Today, just did some vocal recording. I'm trying to apply for the position screamo vocalist here for the band please. So, listen to my demo and give comments. Haha! Oh yah, credits to Underoath for the song Reinventing Your Exit.

The vocal is clean here. No added effect or maybe just a compressor.

For this one, I used the microphone effect. And I really like this one.

Right now, I'm really, really tired and all sleepy already, but I'm still going to update.

Today was Sound Design and EXCITING! We are finally on some practical, that is to record sounds and the theme was Horrific. So what else, we tried to make some ghost like story. And not forgetting, amazing team I got because there is AZEELA! And Berry and Pearlyn. Lazy to elaborate, I will just let you all listen. Oh yah, just a warning, it's good to listen not at night, can be pretty scary near the endings. Don't worry, the video is all black because I don't have any video to use and there isn't any website that allow me to host songs, or I am just lazy to find. So, BE AFRAID!

Hmm... My tongue is sick right now. It is in pain because  I got 4 freaking teeth holes below my tongue! And that is only like the minimum I can count. One of the hole is still bleeding up till now even though it took place yesterday. Just a brief explanation, there are 2 holes at the outer side of the tongue, both left and right. And the other 2 is near the veins there, still the same, both left and right.
I think I bite my tongue because of my dream. I remembered I do dream about some were-pire. But, I didn't bite anyone, so that doesn't give my teeth the right to bite my tongue. I'm fine when I am eating but when I am drinking water, it is SUPERULTRAPAINFUL! OHHH!!! The 2 holes near the veins there, it seems like the "skin" is somesort of peel off from my tongue. And it made me wonder howwill my tongue get cured? I mean, it's always wet and not like when your skin get hurt, it can be dried up.

Before I end, imagine this; You coming home tired from work, get your food and sit on the table. And on the table, you saw the picture below:

What would you feel? I just do hope you all understand the picture.

 new toys!
Wee! Happy that I got new "toys" today! Okay, maybe not "toys" but new programs to play around with...

I "got" Steinberg Cubase 4 which now allows me to master my recordings! Ableton Live sucks at their effects so now I can rely on Cubase. And not only that, I can dual-monitor! One monitor for other stuff and one monitor to do multimedia. Just try to understand... Or look below!

Cool Ay!

And, I tried to record some stuff and ended up with a mini-cover of Always, blink-182. As a final touch up, used Adobe Premier Pro to make sort of "video". Enjoy!

 i work for screenbox!

Today, was the "last" day of attachment. Well, actually it was yesterday, but I just came back to finish up the rest of my work. Pretty sad to leave the company, even though it's only 5 and a half weeks. It have been fun working there, meeting new peoples, like tons! First is the collegue and next is I get to meet few artist, like El-Faezah Ulhaq, Hetty Sarlene & others.
Then, when I work there, I got to watch the show or movies before they are being telecast on TV. And I'm hook to Nur Kasih show because I got to watch episode 8 to 13 and it's a beautiful show.

I hope I could came back again after my school and work there as freelance. Going to pray so much for that.

So, where do I work at? I'm proud to say I work for the company Screenbox! Oh, if you all got Sensasi, watch out for some trailers that I half-made for next month, November. I made the trailers for Ali Din, TATV, Ikan Di Laut Asam Di Darat and Abadi Sebuah Cinta.

Shaherman told me he dreamt about me passing away suddenly, like Michael Jackson. Truthfully, I’m not shocked at all. In fact, I just got that feeling as well. I don’t know why, but yesterday night, I was thinking to myself about death. Like, if I die, what should I leave behind.

I won’t be trying to kill myself but if it’s going to happen, it will happen, it can be by accident, get knocked down, lung failure or anything else. But, I do hope that I will die easily, when I'm sleeping or while praying or going out with my family and it got to be on Friday can?

I’m not paranoid, I’m just saying what I’m feeling and thinking. I will keep myself safe and have positive thinking, but that doesn’t stop me from speeding on the road. :D

I think I got special power. I somehow can predict certain things at a time. For example, in music terms, I am able to predict what song would be a band music video after I listen to the song. I’m not sure whether I can predict or I have a good listening ear.

Let me make this prediction, the next Silverstein, Shipwreck in the Sand, music video would be I Am the Arsonist.

 Stick Stickly
I just checked out this band, Attack Attack, on Modlife. Their song Stick Stickly, at 2.44, is so TAK PERLU (not require). I mean, what the heck is techno-like music in there. Whatever it is, they are cool because there is a screamo, but too much. Not my type.

 J-Drama Fever

I’m watching a Japan drama for the first time, if not including all those Kamen Rider shows. It's a show called... Mei-chan no Shitsuji, which means Mei-chan's Butler. I won’t watched the show without a particular reason of course. And the reason is because there is Kamen Rider actors acting in the show. HaHa! There are three actors, two are main actors, one from Kamen Rider Kabuto and one from Kamen Rider Den-O and the other one is just extra, from Kamen Rider Kiva. Basically, this show contains a lot of Japan Super Hero actors.

But, what is dissapointing is that there is only 10 episodes. Left me with 6 more episodes to watch. And the main girl actor, Eikura Nana, is CUTE!

Left, Tendoe from Kamen Rider Kabuto and Right, Ryoutarou from Kamen Rider Den-O.

HOW CAN I GET THAT GRADE

This video leads to below comment:

"Watching videos in meeting 1,
then shared with 2 other team mates...
newlist variable was not a variable, as you suggested but a string.
The backwards method was working, must give you credits for that, but having seen the first team's result, I am glad you remembered how to implement the reversed for loop.

Good idea when helping Yuhan, but there was a simpler solution, actually 2.
use: if needle in haystack:or:
if haystack.has_key(needle)

No RJ ?!"

Oh yah, it's by my facilitator, Mr Morgan Heijdemann, A.K.A Morgan Freeman. I'm laughing because of this line, "Watching videos in meeting 1, then shared with 2 other team mates...", that I get a B for my daily grade on last day for the module Multimedia Programming II. Anyway, didn't just spread to 2 other team mates, I spread to whole class. Haha! And there was no RJ! I guess so.

Not forgetting, thanks to Allen for the video.

MUST WATCH!

 Source of Inspiration, METAL

amimbari - The Troopers by Iron Maiden, Bass Cover

Three reasons why I love this video:
1. His bass is cool. A Jackson Thunderbird which is like rare and it looks cool, yes, much cooler than Gibson/Epiphone Thunderbird.

2. He is playing The Troopers by Iron Maiden. But, his guitar is supposed to be right-handed but he made it possible to play it nicely using left-handed.

3. HE GIVES ME INSPIRATION! Yes, inspiration to start playing metal songs all over again. Well, metal is the first song that I ever play on a bass and its Hallowed Be Thy Name by Iron Maiden as well. Now, it’s time for me to get hook up to metals and play their riff, starting out with Iron Maiden and Helloween.

Music Video - Where Is the Love?

Black Eyed Peas - Where Is the Love?

What's wrong with the world, mama
People livin' like they ain't got no mamas
I think the whole world addicted to the drama
Only attracted to things that'll bring you trauma
Overseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin'
In the USA, the big CIA
The Bloods and The Crips and the KKK
But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And when you hate then you're bound to get irate, yeah
Badness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how a n**** works and operates
N**, you gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love, y'all, y'all

People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek

Father, Father, Father help us
Send us some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (Love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love
The love, the love

It just ain't the same, always unchanged
New days are strange, is the world insane
If love and peace is so strong
Why are there pieces of love that don't belong
Nations droppin' bombs
Chemical gasses fillin' lungs of little ones
With the ongoin' sufferin' as the youth die young
So ask yourself is the lovin' really gone
So I could ask myself really what is goin' wrong
In this world that we livin' in people keep on givin'in
Makin' wrong decisions, only visions of them dividends
Not respectin' each other, deny thy brother
A war is goin' on but the reason's undercover
The truth is kept secret, it's swept under the rug
If you never know truth then you never know love
Where's the love, y'all, come on (I don't know)
Where's the truth, y'all, come on (I don't know)
Where's the love, y'all

People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek

Father, Father, Father help us
Send us some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (Love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love
The love, the love

I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder
As I'm gettin' older, y'all, people gets colder
Most of us only care about money makin'
Selfishness got us followin' our own direction
Wrong information always shown by the media
Negative images is the main criteria
Infecting the young minds faster than bacteria
Kids act like what they see in the cinema
Yo', whatever happened to the values of humanity
Whatever happened to the fairness in equality
Instead in spreading love we spreading animosity
Lack of understanding, leading lives away from unity
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' under
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' down
There's no wonder why sometimes I'm feelin' under
Gotta keep my faith alive to lovers bound

People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek

Father, Father, Father help us
Send us some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (Love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
